Barbell Torque



Place an Olympic bar in a wall corner. Place a towel in the corner to avoid damaging the walls or the bar. Place a weight (you may not need to add any weight when first attempting this exercise) on the end of the bar and hold it up at arm's length. Set your base a little wider than shoulder width and lean slightly forward into the weight. Rotate to your right as you start to lower the load down and outside your right knee. Your left heel will rise off the floor as you lower and your shoulders should follow your hands. Forcefully raise the weight back up and over to the other side and repeat.

TIP: Keep in mind that the farther you extend your arms, the tougher the exercise will be.
